Teaching I am 26 years into my journey in elementary education here in Gwinnett County. I started out as a first grade teacher at Annistown Elementary in 1989 and transferred to open Shiloh ES the next year...phew that was a LONG time ago. After six years in 1st grade, I made the move to gifted education as a FOCUS teacher. I worked part time for the next 12 years in the Brookwood and Dacula clusters in grades K-5. I came to Craig full time eight years ago. Here at Craig I have been a FOCUS teacher, math specialist, and this will be my sixth year as a 2nd grade teacher. The one thing I enjoy most about teaching is the opportunity to instill in my students a love for learning, because their enthusiasm for learning is contagious to everyone around them (including me).

Family I've been married for 26 years to my husband, Traven. We have two boys, Ethan (17) and Jordan (19). Ethan is nearby at Brookwood HS 12th grade and Jordan is in his sophmore year at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. We all LOVE sports! This means if I'm not playing something myself, then I'm watching my boys do their thing. This year we'll get to expand our sports spectating from the high school to watching big brother play college soccer and basketball too. It's going to be an exciting year!
